How Kylie Jenner built a business empire on Lip Kits raging tweets

Kylie Jenner first released her line of lip kits almost two years ago, and in that short span of time Jenner’s lip kits has taken the internet by storm.

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan launched her signature Cosmetics in 2016 which include the popular lip kits, Kyshadows (eye-shadow palettes) and Kyliners (a gel type eyeline that come in a gel pot and a brush). In 18 months, the fast selling cosmetics line has made a surprising $420 million in retail sales.

Jenner’s Kyliners and Kyshadows were released with tutorials in snapchat and a bunch of freebies to her fans in the L.A. area. Her cosmetic line was boosted even farther up because of her supporters and followers in twitter. Her devoted fans played an important role in the success of her cosmetic lines.

The cosmetic line flagship product, Kylie’s lip Kits sold out within minutes after releasing on sale at KylieCosmetics.com, since then Jenner has produced new Lines of Lip kits in bolder colors which all have sold out in a short span of time.

In fact, Seed Beauty, the company that produces Kylie Cosmetics that is located in Oxnard, California, that they are producing the cosmetics as quickly as possible but the demand for the production is simply just too high.

The success of the said Cosmetic line has surpassed even longtime cosmetics companies like L’Oreal’s Lancôme cosmetics which took 80 years for it to reach $1 billion in sale and currently shows no sign of slowing down for the near future. Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics line is expecting to see another 25% increase in sale this year which would round up to about $385 million this year.

Jenner, just turned 20 this August, and is currently Forbes’ new ranking of the 100 highest paid celebrities in the world
